Who can attend the conference?
McKinney-Vento Liaisons, other school employees who support students experiencing homelessness, and community partners. We look forward to welcoming you and partnering with you!
Are meals included in the Conference Registration?
The conference registration fee includes:

Wednesday Evening Social including snacks

Breakfast Buffet and Lunch Buffet

Morning snack break on Friday (continental breakfast-type)

Note: Lodging is not included, and hotel reservations should be made separately.
How can I pay for this if I don't have a
McKinney-Vento subgrant?
Your Title 1 Part A set aside also covers professional development. And that can include not only your registration, but your lodging, mileage, and meals not provided by the conference.
Where will the conference be held?
The conference will take place (rain or shine! or snow!) at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center in Blacksburg, Virginia.
What about lodging?
The Inn at Virginia Tech is offering rooms at the current government per diem rate until February 7. After that date, any remaining rooms in the room block will be released. The discounted per diem rate is available using the reservation link on the registration tab or by calling the hotel directly and let them know you are with the Project Hope Conference.
Lodging is not included in the registration fee.
Free Parking is Available.
Will conference attendees receive professional development credit?
Yes! We will take attendance at all general and breakout sessions and will send professional development certificates to attendees within one week of the conference ending.
What happens when registration is full/closed?
We will have a waitlist once registration is full. Please email mcbuffkin@wm.edu to be added to the list.
